Please, please, please to anyone in our American government, if you or your staff are reading this somehow, we desperately need your help!!! Please help us!!! Out livelihood is dying off rapidly!!! HELP!!!

@10r Cigna has eliminated more than 7k net jobs company wide this year. If counting on the jobs offshored to HIH, it’s more than 10k jobs lost to onshore.

They are pushing everything offshore with little regard for their U.S. employees. We are all on pins and needles waiting to hear if we still have jobs once the offshore teams are fully trained. I left a good, stable job to join what I was told was a guaranteed, long-term, upstanding company. Instead, I was used as a fill-in until they could transition the work offshore and let us go. They claim to be transparent and open — that has not been my experience. There appears to be little compassion or respect for the U.S. employees who dedicated themselves to this company. Thousands of people have been laid off in the last year, and those same roles are now open offshore. This should be flagged for eliminating U.S. jobs.
Huge layoffs coming in addition to those that already happened in 2026. This is been a rough year for all U.S. Cigna employees and will continue till everyone has been replaced by AI or off shore people. Praying for all those in the next layoff round in Oct that will be blindsided by this news.

My anger and disgust is with Cigna they are the ones betraying the employees and make false promises. All to put more money in their greedy pockets vs keeps us in a job. They won’t worry how to feed their family. Keep a roof over their head or if able to find another job all they care about is the money that they get to stick in their pocket and live in their high society, life and houses.

@bm It's probably better to think in terms of culture (or cultures and subcultures really) instead of race. It can be hard to tell the difference sometimes. Any given family's children are going to be the same race as their parents and shared the same culture.

Anyone who is an immigrant to the US on a H-1B or similar is going to be very ambitious pretty much by definition. People who aren't ambitious aren't the people moving to a new country to make more money and build a better life for their families.

Anyone in India of course wants more jobs in India, just like we want the jobs in the US. That is understandable. But of course those of us in America feel betrayed when we're fired and replaced to cheaper workers in another country.

I think it's better to focus your angry at the people making these decisions. It's understandable to resent to some degree the people who replaced our friends and coworkers. But we should also remember that those people are just as bad off or worse than us (probably worse) and just doing what they need to to get by.

Better focus our outrage at leadership, both within the company, and peer companies doing similar, and our political leaders who go along or actively allow this.

Yes there will be a significant round in October. Director for my area was looking for “volunteers” in the last staff meeting to make the process easier.

All of the posts that use the word “bootlicker,” I sincerely believe is an Indian person. I say that because I have had good friends from India at two different past employment and they both used that term but I have never recalled someone that grew up in America use that specific word ever.

I have nothing against the Indian race. I feel in many ways that they are a humble and kind people.

However, I also have noticed that they are very ambitious and really want to get out of their own country and spread into other countries fast. I understand that. They have already taken over much of Britain and much of Canada. And I believe now are working on taking over much of America.

I am not a racist but I sometimes am concerned when I read articles on the news where prime minister modi appears to be allies with America while at the same time being allies with our enemy countries. I don’t see a full all in allegiance and alliance with only us.

Furthermore, I fear that some ambitious Indians smile at us, appear to be our friends. But when in groups amongst only other Indians, speaking in their own native tongue, if a different attitude might appear where they would prefer move us American citizens out and replace us.

Anyway, I don’t know, just something that concerns me a bit.

@at Anyone thinking that there is not going to be layoffs in 2026 is fooling themselves. Between AI and HIH there is no room for US based employees.

@av 20 years at the same place, I can’t think of how terrifying it must be to have no new marketable skills for other employers. No wonder you hug this job so hard… but trust me they don’t feel the same way about you.

@af Naw, probably all the brown nosing stalled band 4s that come in over the weekend to clean toilets just because they think that's the difference maker.
