So we know there are still 34 store closures that have to be announced. Anyone know when that is coming? Is that the quarter 2 announcements everyone is talking about at the end of march?

I hear they can't get the money to buy. This could develop into one hell of a dire situation. How long before the store closures ramp up? Jeff Bezos needs to pony up and buy.

Funny how 2 of us in the store I was in didn't get to keep a job as it was known that we didn't want to "grow" into a higher position (MTM). Glad I'm out! Hear it's nothing but mass confusion with those who are left.

My biggest question is why were some under qualified JBMs given a free pass? Tenured SMs were displaced while others were kept .... how is that fair?! Everyone should have been assessed; no one should have been a free pass.

Any news?? Anybody hear more about the possible buy out from HB? I know that the company is behind and still interviewing displaced/ former employees for positions.

What to expect?

If the merger is in the works, it will be ugly. the amount of jobs that would pale in comparison by what happened last month. HB has a different structure. i would assume the safest stores would be HSQ, Union Square and all the other big city stores.
