No point in excelling at what you do

Years ago excelling at what you do meant good things for your career. Now it means the opposite. In a work environment where being average at everything is the encouraged norm, excelling will earn you more work and less chance of advancing your... — read more

Not available anymore

Is that one of the best parts of giving a notice? After years of having to be available here 24/7, as of yesterday I finally don't care about being available and at your service all day. I agree that it’s okay to work hard and be engaged, however... — read more

Why bother at all?

We work so hard each day, we give it our all, and for what? For a company that uses us up without recognition, steps all over us instead of rewarding our work, and then discards so many of its best like yesterday's trash. HON lost all of its core... — read more

iManage still on?

Is that farcical iManage thing still on? At least a few very good managers were "managed out" of their respective organizations back in late 2019.

I don't get some folks

A coworker who was laid off in the last round still sings the praises of Honeywell. For him, it was unfortunate that he was affected but he didn't see it as anything personal. He was satisfied with his job before that and he claims being laid off... — read more

What was going on around me?

Maybe in addition to vision they also lack courage?

Managers scrambling over return to office

My mgr has been too busy to talk for weeks. I get the sense that mgrs know this return is going to be a mess. They had a year to fix the outdated open office plan disaster. Now they have no answers to basic questions.

The final result of such management?

Consolidate sites, move work to EM, contract manufacturing = fewer US Hon badge employees. The goal still remains - pay less for labor. This has priority over anything else. Second, reduce inventory. I wonder what the long-term results of this... — read more
