Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

We used to drive HON's success

How any business treats its employees will determine its success. HON used to know this once, when it treated us as assets. Now, the company only sees numbers instead of employees and it doesn't care what and how much they contribute - if the number is too high, it's a cost to be cut. For as long as this remains true, the company will continue to fail.

Your assumption is simply not true.
The most profitable and successful businesses throughout history have all been built on cheap and disposable labor. Examples of businesses where labor and profit have been divided equitably are difficult to find. This has been true for thousands of years and it remains true today. If you exclude artists and small professionals with limited offices I struggle to think of a single company.
Apple? Built on chinese slave labor at Foxcon
SpaceX? Cult of personality
Amazon. Have you read the news?

So no. Honeywell is unlikely to fail. They will just find new ways to exploit.

Cote and DA embraced the GE culture.
Don't these fools know where GE ended up?
Oh wait, that's right. They don't care as long as they got their riches.
Greedy, despicable fools who made life miserable for their employees.
I hope they are proud and pleased with themselves.

That was then. This is now! Your only hope for success now is to move to another company.
