Supply Chain issues..

If supply chain issues are the real problem, how long can they keep employees on payroll? They also mentioned a lack of "skilled labor".... that's not the term they use during contract negotiations, isn't that strange!!

Very disorganized

It used to not be like that, but now it's a big mess. Management is mostly to blame. The wrong people are in managerial positions and they are one of the biggest reasons why I am no longer proud to work here. Most are forced to wear multiple hats... — read more

Raises for Lynn Mass/GE Aviation

They Got an Tentative agreement for pay raises! Good win for the local 201. Will the 301 in Schenectady Power have the same luck? Doubt it! I see layoffs coming fast

GRC Split Into 3!

GEA will have the lions share, while Vernova and HC will get small bits. Looks like VA is sailing off into the renewables sunset, leaving GRC to the wolves.

Culp is the new Immelt

Both chose to make huge decisions about the company at the exact wrong time: Immelt, the Alstom dibacle. Culp, reverse stock split and company break up. Prove me wrong!!!

Survey says!?!?!?

Well I for one wished everyone had the guts in Schenectady not to take the survey. If no one filled it out and threw it out the contract will be the same. It will be as worthless at the paper hanging on the bathroom stall walls. Get ready for a 1... — read more

Contract extension with Verona?

Heard chatter of a one year contract extension due to the “ split” and am thinking how badly we were screwed by the Onion on our past two. Lump sums and accelerated cash payments have put us farther and farther behind. With 9% inflation what do... — read more

Layoffs are the norm at Schenectady

Will there be layoffs tomorrow? Probably. Just like there have been surgical layoffs at Schenectady nearly every week at worst or month at best for the past several years. Few people notice it because it's just one person here, two people there, but... — read more

Is there a layoff for Schdy’s Power?

I here all the time a nice layoff is coming. Then the chair sniffers say there is not layoff coming. Then other people say we have tons of work. Then management says it’s slower than usual. The union says no layoffs. Then T’s run up to management and... — read more
