Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Supply Chain issues..

If supply chain issues are the real problem, how long can they keep employees on payroll? They also mentioned a lack of "skilled labor".... that's not the term they use during contract negotiations, isn't that strange!!

Management changed our titles to machine operator from machinist years ago. Now they tell the media there is a lack of skilled labor. Who can believe anything they say anymore?

These jobs take no skill at 273 any burger worker can make this stuff. Quality went way down after the 2013-2014 wave got hired. Why do you think there was a layoff?

Too bad they foreced out "skilled labor"; but hey it made the quarter look better! So brilliant, give them those bonuses. Back pats all around!
