Their costs seem to range from ,4 to .9 % of assets managed. That can add up to big yearly amounts. Do you think the cost is worth it?
Time for tomorrow’s postings?
Was it shared at what time the positions will be available in the tool?
Hunger games
So if we are playing these games every few years, why should I collaborate with my teammates? I want to always manipulate and take all the credit and undermine my peers. That will place me better next time around.
Subsidized COBRA vs Retirement Medical
Why would one not elect to take subsidized COBRA for 12 months if EOI is accepted before enrolling in the retirement medical at the end of the 12 month COBRA coverage? Isn’t it much less expensive?
New metric needed: New Organization Implemented per yr over last 15yrs requiring Round 1 and 2 high PSG management.
It will likely show the layers of growth of non-essential activities (fluff) that have creeped in over the years. These new organizations with new high level psg’s will just be shrunk in the layoff but will not go away. Do you know of any?
Totally top down reorg
It’s a company that needs to focus on shareholder value, I get it, no problem. Why all this long “open” transition spanning over a year, during a pandemic for Christ’s sake. No discussions of what the future should be or open engagement except... — read more
12% layoffs is bad news for us, worse than it's been in quite some time
Just found out that our business unit will endure about 12% layoffs. I suppose, if you're like me and want the EOI option, it's not so bad. But our BU, one of the top, if not the most profitable & highest production in the country, taking a 12% cut... — read more
CVX Office Work Schedule?

Chapter leads
Reading between the lines, why am I getting the impression that all the “job owners” in the new tech center’s round 3 positions are the secretly selected new Chapter leads? I guess all will be clear Monday.
Sick leave
Does Chevron pay unused sick leave if you are laid off?
Teaming
Surprised at how much questions are asked about “teaming” during townhalls. Stop asking about it and wasting precious townhall time! Those who are confused about the concept either are haven’t been good teammates or just don’t know how to become... — read more
Org Charts Without PSGs
Throwing out org charts without psg ranges is chicken sh*t. If your job still exists, you don’t know if you qualify for it. This is an effort of not being transparent to keep people working even if they don’t have a shot. Thoughts?

Chances of getting laid off
So it looks like I am at a 40% chance of getting laid off. Wish I had a 99.6% change of not being laid off. Wonder why we worry about some thing and not other.
How to push the severance package to 2021
I am in round 3 and will take EOI. The notification will occur the week of September 7. My question: is it possible to postpone the severance package to 2021 for tax purposes?
Pregnant, do I tell them?
I’m in R4 and pregnant with my first child and due early next year. Easy to hide it being at home. What should my strategy be? Tell them before the selections and hope they’d be scared to lay off someone with a “disability” or wait until after... — read more

Will the HR selections in R3 be based on qualifications?

Not all jobs are open - Round 3
Looks like not all people or positions are open or need apply. What's the method used to say who is in and who isn't? Is it the position? Merit? Diversity? It's a sad day if this is based on gender or ethnicity.
R3 - EOI question
If I apply for an EOI in R3, and I am notified in early September, how much longer would I need to work at CVX? Can I line up another job, and if so when can I tell my new employer I can start?
