No longer a classy place to work

This place was once a great place that valued and respected employees. Now it seems they do yearly layoffs.. and during a pandemic??? That shows how much they care about their people.. glad I got out in time.. what a joke.

Layoffs were expected

Who here DID NOT expect layoffs after the merger? It’s ALWAYS expected when such transactions happen. I feel empathy for those affected regardless what side it occurred on. Complaining about who was affected more is a moot point. Everyone should have... — read more

Concerned how the merger will affect clients

I'm a client with Charles Schwaab and I am interested in how merger will affect us. I have some concerns. Can someone give me a useful insight on how merger can negatively impact customers and what to expect?

Schwabs First Rodeo

For veterans of the industry who may have been in these circumstances before. You can definitely tell Schwab is not prepared for an acquisition of this scale. Poorly organized, poorly communicated and just flat out chaotic. What positions were... — read more

One-Sided Layoffs

Any word on 10/27?

LD1 happening during 1st week of October, 10/5 ~ 10/6, turned out to be very accurate. What about the follow up prediction of 10/27? Anyone have anything new to share?

There's a possibility layoffs will occur in November

There's a possibility, albeit small one, that layoffs may not occur until November, irrespective of whether LD1 happens in October or not. As imminent as LD1 is, it's still possible layoffs may be pushed out another month.

I'm not worried about layoffs

Severance Details

Does anyone know what the severance package was last year? Rumor is that companies like to do mass layoffs before the end of a quarter, hence last year was 9/16.
