Bonus / Merit

Was anyone’s bonus or merit (should be going out in the next week) valuable enough to consider staying another year?

New RTO Date

So looks like we have a new RTO plan…but I doubt it’ll stick, either due to mass attrition or a new variant (or both). Good luck with that Schwab.

Move to another department

I thought moving to another department would be a lot easier than it turned out to be. I am quite disappointed and would now prefer to leave Schwab. Is there anyone here to share their own experience with moving to another department?

Let's get real

When I read some posts here, there seems to be no worse place than CS and it is ideal everywhere except here. Come on. I know people who have regretted that they have left. Of course, I also know those who are better off now. However, we should be... — read more

Nobody cares anymore

People have lost motivation and drive to do anything other than what they absolutely have to. I can't blame anybody for it, after years of mistreatment by management, nobody in his or her right mind would still want to give 110% for a company that... — read more

Today’s One Schwab Gem

I HONESTLY believe we will miss the CD1 MILESTONE because Schwab is a PIONEER in managing the most incompetent organization. EVERYONE in leadership is d-mb. You dummies disengaged green and now you want to re-engage?

Sugarcoating doesn’t help anyone

I wouldn't want to generalize, but it always surprises me over and over again how some managers are very successful at sugarcoating the facts. Is it part of their job? It shouldn't be. I don’t think any manager is better just because they are nice... — read more

Looking Through Client Eyes

Sick and tired hearing those words. Nowhere does Schwab mentions employees and their wellbeing. As if only clients are important, but not the employees. Sure, we receive thank you here and there, sounds hollow. Why are we not important to Schwab?... — read more

Employee Survey… how did you answer?

Who filled out the Employee Survey? My department had to waste more than usual by calling a meeting just to ask everyone to answer positively since last year’s responses were so low.

No cuts are needed

I don’t think any cuts are needed given how many people are leaving and given how many people intend to leave. In the past two months, more of my colleagues have left than ever before. So I can't believe that cuts could happen soon? That would be a... — read more

One Schwab Week

Did anyone else “register” for that? It seems like a waste of time. I’m not sure I really care to hear what Chuck and Walt think given how so far removed they are from anything we do or experience.

Healthy snacks! Table games! Carbonated water!

Omg the email about “improved workplace” cracked me up. This is seriously the most penny-punching company ever. We already had all that stuff in my office, and still no one wants to go back… and anyone leaving for a remote job knows that what they... — read more

When did Schwab become this toxic?

Ten years ago when I left for a position that offered more pay it was still a good place to work with good culture and work environment. I recently returned having mostly positive memories of this place and I can't wrap my head around how much things... — read more

What is your biggest complaint about leadership?

I know that some will now say that have many objections, not just one. Those at the top are perhaps too destructive. I also wish we would get a new leadership, but I'm afraid it's just wishful thinking. I think that in any case I will leave Schwab... — read more

Waiting bonus to leave?

I wonder how many such cases are there, people who are just waiting to get a bonus before they leave. I think there will be a lot of resignations, judging by my colleagues' comments. I am also just waiting for the bonus and then goodbye CS.

Why not just move on?

I left Schwab recently. I’m happy I did, but it’s not as bad as people a few voices on this forum make it out to be. Yes, there’s lots of confusion with the merger and yes, there are groups where it sucks to work. But its not all groups If you... — read more

Schwab needs to move on from Simon

His lack of vision and leadership are the main reasons STS has been stagnant for years now. Well before covid and TDA. He lacks vision and awareness of the modern workplace and his own org. Schwab technology needs a better leader to drive change.

How many managers are redundant?

There are too many managers, too few leaders. I do not believe that the number of managers here will ever decrease significantly, but I wonder how many of them do you think are redundant at Schwaab? Someone said if 300 project managers were cut... — read more

Rejected WFP Request

Any other employees/former employees taking money out?

How large a retention bonus would keep you here?

RTO Meeting for Leaders today

Can someone please respond to this with some details on what's mentioned on today's call? I'm sure Schwab will just carry on like nothing is happening but I think we would all like to hear any details mentioned
