For several years working here was nice for me. However, the constant changes that are happening have started to bother me and now I would even like to be laid off. Moreover, I don't think there were ever so many people at Schwab who are expecting rumors about layoffs in the hope that they will be the target?

Me too. I would love to be laid. We all would.
I'm sorry tell you guys, but we are in a "Virtuous Cycle". Schwab enjoys great business fundamentals and a strong competitive position. Only way you guys are leaving is if you quit. And you would then be replaced. By someone smarter, younger, more energetic, and above all else, cheaper.
+1. I, too, would LOVE to be laid off. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be so lucky.
