RTO is a pay cut

Essentially making us all go back to the office is a pay cut. You have to spend more time out of your day driving and getting ready now which time is money. If you live in a big metroplex it could take an hour to get to the center one way! Not only... — read more

Mass Exodus in March, not October

With the mandatory (and complete bullsh-t) RTO announcement, I don't see the "smart" ones leaving in October, but rather March after bonuses are paid out and RSUs vest. I absolutely love my job. I love working for Schwab. But I won't work in an... — read more

Glassdoor & Indeed Reviews

I encourage everyone on this board to leave a review on Glassdoor & Indeed. These are the number one sites used for recruiting and people going through the job search process should have all the information since then Schwab site is still promoting... — read more

Revenue problems solved by RTO?

Tell me how forcing RTO actually helps what’s really going on. Failing revenue and employee dissatisfaction are huge red flags. (Bloomberg) -- “Charles Schwab Corp. expects its revenue to slide as much as 11% in the second quarter compared with a... — read more

How will they track RTO

What if you have no teammates in your location since they are all spread out? How will they track if you are in office? Will it be ok to go in for 3 hours and then WFH during lunch. I just want to know how they will know we are in office.

Walt’s no Tim Cook

I call for Walt to take a 40% pay reduction like Tim did. He is ultimately responsible for the long dated bonds that hit the company in trouble. Now we pay the price and he sits on his golden throne

Take the survey!

Remember this next time we get a glint survey!!! LET THEM KNOW HOW WE FEEL. Glint surveys, best place to work surveys, etc etc. do not hold back. They don’t care about us, let’s show them how we feel.

This is the plan

Next big integration week all of us are calling in sick for 3 consecutive days for mental health days. If they won’t work for us we don’t work for them. Why? Because fu-k em that’s why!

Two people gave notice today

Due to the email that was sent by the EC. One project manager and another engineer. As a director I asked about headcount and was told neither would be replaced this year. Today has been a rough day for many but I'm really not sure what is going on... — read more

Walt reneging on WFP

Walt is a coward. He repeatedly sang praises over the firm's workplace flexibility. He contrasted himself with Jamie Dimon and took jabs at David Solomon for wanting people in the office. He said completely remote work was going to happen eventually... — read more

Why did they have to lie?

Be up front with your employees. Give your employees the information and allow them to make decisions accordingly. Don't mislead them and with the same message over and over when we ask repeatedly. Some of us made decisions in our lives based on... — read more

This is just the start

I was in a meeting this morning and while they are offering employees to submit an exception every six months the plan is to allow it until next may and call the remaining people back.

They were lying to us

Even after many kept asking in the all hands. They kept lying. Some of us made decisions to move to more affordable areas based on the information the firm gave us. The massage was "there are no plans to change the WFP". This was reiterated to us... — read more

Anyone else concerned with security?

With the recent announcement today of “generally all employees will be in the office 3 days a week” and “MDs and PLs 4 days a week”, I have serious concerns over employee safety and security within the buildings. We do not have metal detectors, and... — read more

I am more than ready and willing to quit over RTO

Maybe all of us who feel this way - and I know for a fact there are many, many of us - should let them know. I think the number will be much higher than they ever imagined. They might want some of us to quit because of this, but what happens when... — read more

They will never take our freedom!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you today to address a matter of utmost importance—a matter that affects not just our work lives, but our personal lives, our families, and our well-being. We have proven ourselves to be highly productive while... — read more

End of WFH

Alright fellow employees time for us to fight back! We cannot let these boomers get us to return to office without a fight. They are trying to take away time with our families even though we have proved our ability to be highly productive for over... — read more

Layoffs tomorrow? June 6th

Usually the layoffs seem to be the first Tuesday, this is the last month of Q2 so… rumor here and elsewhere was that they were coming in June. Anyone know? I saw only $15MM in layoffs listed for this quarter ( — read more

Reducing headcount without cuts

I'm curious why you think CS is trying to reduce headcount without cuts? What are the arguments? I really don't have that impression, but maybe I'm wrong.

Charles Schwab is a terrible place to work

Schwab is only concerned with their image and perception in the FinTech industry. They do not care about the employees. They want robots that follow policies and procedures to the letter. I am not saying I am perfect, and I am not saying anything new... — read more

Schwab borrows $2.5 billion

Concerning , especially with the firm refusing to address questions about the SEC filing. The high interest rate environment and the held to maturity unrealized losses are continuing to deteriorate the balance sheet and stock price. The question... — read more

CTO Architect position worthed?

Is taking an Architect position with the CTO worth? Thoughts on technical roles at Schwab? What should I expect? Comments about the environment? Just saw some posts about a toxic environment.

Changes CS needs as a priority

It's not the employees' fault, but those at the top that this company has become such a mess. I had a little discussion with colleagues about which changes are necessary to be prioritized here and I'm also interested in your opinion?

What's with the lack of transparency?

I have a better chance of finding out something important that's happening at the company here than from management. That's not how this is supposed to work. The less they tell us, the more morale will go down since people will always imagine the... — read more

computer files off schwab laptop

Anyone figured out how to get files off Schwab laptop? I have developed templates during my tenure (no client or employee information). And I would like to take it with me if I get laid off or if I leave.

For those who have gone through layoff, what was your severance payment like? Any detail helpful.

Layoff process

how’s the process at Schwab? Do they give you advance warning to do a handover to another colleague? or do they meet with you on Friday evening and cancel your computer access on the spot? Pls share from your experience so that we know what to... — read more

Lots of shady stuff going on here

Judging by what people are writing here, it seems like there are a lot of layoffs that are secretly going on. It's a very demoralizing feeling, when one day you find out that your colleague is no longer there and you didn't even know that layoffs are... — read more
