My thoughts during this time of strike..
I don’t really wanna leave this company. I honestly want to love my job. But as I sit here on strike waiting to get surplused, I cannot imagine things being much worse than this elsewhere. I mean, Burger King isn’t laying off workers that do good... — read more
“Intermittent Strikes”
The National Labor Relations Board prohibits “intermittent strikes” .... So if the strike ends it restricts the right to have another short term one for a bit. The timing was a little off. Should have scheduled it after the 1st so strikers had... — read more

Why do we even need layoffs?
This place is a revolving door as it is. I can't even keep track of people who are leaving and people who are replacing them. Why not simply stop hiring replacements?
How long do you plan to stay at AT&T?
I figure this is a valid question. Aside from the old-timers that are awaiting their pensions, I believe a lot of folks are disappointed with the way AT&T conducts business and with the state that the company is in. In that light I ask how long do... — read more
A Level 1 Manager’s Thoughts
Let me start off by saying that I’m very pro union. I was craft for my first 7 years with the company & only moved to management after they closed my center down & moved it out of state & I needed to remain local to work. Myself and a few of my work... — read more

Original streaming series

D3 Strike
Does anyone know for sure how long the strike in the southeastern states is supposed to last? It will be useless if it ends tomorrow. In 1983, it lasted about 3 weeks, and to my knowledge, that was the last time the company walked. Good luck... — read more
D4 new contract : what is it’s start and stop date?
I’m curious if D4 at least had the wisdom of aligning its contract period closer with D3 for the next time they negotiate or if once again it’ll be over a year apart. If they had held out just TWO MORE DAYS they could be right now applying pressure... — read more
I worked as a manager for AT&T for a few years...
I was a tech before that. I took a package offer to leave before a lay off happened. I am not disgruntled! It was common knowledge that the company was going to break the union on this contract. From what I have read and heard from others... — read more

Thanks CWA for striking
You just saved the company a billion dollars a year in salaries alone, not to mention. how much AT&T contributed towards employees pensions, stock match & healthcare... This isn't the 70's folks; we are global now.
AT&T settles 2014 lawsuit
Of course they won't disclose the terms. Shouldn't shareholders know in order to make informed educated investment decisions? What is yhe company hiding? https://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2019/08/23/business/23reuters-att-ftc-data.html
At least D3 is showing more balls than D4
D4 leadership are a bunch of eunuchs. At least D3 leadership is doing SOMETHING.
CWA NEEDS TO CHANGE A NO VOTE TO A NO ON BALLOTS
People who don’t care and don’t vote know their wont be a strike and just continue to be anti social and keep on truckin. That doesn’t help the Union Brotherhood system of making decisions together as a union. Change the one rule for ballots for a No... — read more

Can anything be accomplished by a strike?

D3 bargaining team left the table
ATT posted a broadcast message on the GCAS platform indicating the Union left the bargaining table on Monday. However, when looking at bargaining updates on the D3 website, there is no reference to this. Why not?

ULP Strike - Miami Dade and Broward County (Three Days Only)
This is 100% confirmed: ULP Strike - Miami Dade and Broward County Duration: Three Day
Three Day Strike
A 3 Day strike is a joke. Assuming they're including Saturday and Sunday in the strike? So basically a 3 Day weekend. AT&T won't even yawn at a 3 Day strike.
Is any position safe at AT&T?
Anyone? Thoughts?
