Who is planning to attend? I thought it is meant like an "all hands" but only some of us got the invite. It is based on department or on job code level/seniority? Can we provide email feedback in case we don't want our names in the open?
Home based people living near an office
Are they going to be asked to return or are they just forcing the hybrid people first?
I’m out of here
Got a job offer making 20% more at another bank with more room to grow. The labor market is still strong right now. You may even find out you’re being underpaid. I will say I will certainly miss some people but unfortunately the bank is going in... — read more
Bait & Switch Recruitment Process
How many people here were hired under the guise of “Moments that matter”? This is where the recruiter or hiring manager told you that the only time you would be in the office would be for special events. Many of us accepted our job offers under this... — read more
People freaking out over RTO; Beware!
For those of you who haven’t worked through a recession, one is coming which only means more layoffs. Don’t be over confident that you’ll have an easy time finding another job when you’re handed a pink slip over the RTO policies. Just saying… — read more
Layoff
Why are they laying off mortgages this month? Won’t we get busy again in spring
RTO shows U.S Bank's so called commitment to employees and to DEI is a lie.
U.S. Bank claims to desire diversity, but this RTO requirement shows that it really couldn't care less. All they care about is people who are able to get to the office, not the quality of our work. WFH makes full-time work more accessible for... — read more
Is there anything positive in RTO?
For now, I don't see anything positive in returning to the office, neither for myself, nor for this place, which will have a significant drop in morale, and therefore productivity.
Hey Elfio
I heard you were looking comfy working from home today all the while telling the HR department they’re going back to the office. Hypocrite. You’re an intricate part of the organism. It’s as----e.
Is your team enforcing the RTO policy?
My spineless manager has already told us to be prepared to come in when my team is geographically dispersed all over the country…ugh. Can’t wait to be sitting in a cubicle in Teams meetings all day. Time to dust off the resume…
I'm absolutely willing to let myself be fired over RTO
I don't care anymore. I will stand my ground. If that means I get fired, then I get fired. There are still available remote jobs, it shouldn't be too hard to recover. What I will not do is allow this company to drag me back when the majority of the... — read more
I'm just going to leave this here
Several studies over the past few months show productivity while working remotely from home is better than working in an office setting. On average, those who work from home spend 10 minutes less a day being unproductive, work one more day a week... — read more
Out of it
I talked to about 26 people in my department already and none are going to follow this directive of going to the office 3 or even 2 days a week. One person said they might go one day a week. No one is interested or amused by this subject.
Pushing Out The Door
Is it just me or does it seem like they're trying to make things miserable so people leave on their own instead of being laid off?
COVID cesspool in the office
They want us back in the office. I hope they are prepared to deal with people coming in sick with COVID, Flu, cold and spreading it to others because they are forced to be in the office 3 days a week. They are enforcing this but people will be the... — read more
Mortgage
Is it true mortgage laying off before Nov 1st? What are all these meetings
The useless ones are so excited for return to office
My manager is so excited about it. He has nothing to do except micromanage and create busy work…he’s so eager for us to return so he can feel important again.
Will the C-suite be leading by example?
Will they be returning to the office 3 days a week instead of working from their home office in their mansions? I mean they do make 10x what the average worker makes so I’m sure they would mind leading by example.
Where is the fairness in RTO?
There are plenty of people in home based positions that live within driving distance of an office but were lucky enough to get categorized that way. Now HR is not approving requests to be categorized as home based. How does this make sense? Why... — read more

Mid level mgmt
I share the opinion with some poster here who wrote that no one would even notice if half of the mid level management was laid off. Agree?
Acquisition
Anyone know with the union bank acquisition, if layoffs of usb employees will occur? Or maybe more positions will be outsourced over seas? Specifically claim/call center areas. Wish I could get a glimpse of the future with the bank.
Roadshow invite
In my town, the Roadshow meetings are happening soon. We got the email invites this week... Most of us. Would you find it suspicious if departments who normally go to the Roadshow, didn't get an invite?
Elavon Europe cutting jobs

First time posting here. Didn’t know this site existed but I was laid off on 10/12/22
