USBank and Truist merger?

Heard there was a meeting at Truist HQ in North Carolina to discuss possible merger. Anyone else hearing this? Also saw this: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1sT5ayLn

Mobile and Online Banking

For all the chest thumping we do about our digital capabilities, it’s ironic that JD Powers has us near the bottom of large banks in both areas. We apparently are not as good as we say we are based on our customers. Maybe AC needs to make changes . — read more

Working together survey

Is anyone else completing this survey? Let's not mince words: the company is not and will not listen, but that doesn't mean we stay silent. Complete the "Working Together" survey and make your voice heard loud and clear. They might not care, but it's... — read more

Leave. You can do it

Today I left my job and currently don’t have a backup plan. I’m lucky enough to have the means to take a month off but I’ll have so much less stress and I’ll have time to devote to finding my next chapter. Left toxic management and truly was just... — read more

RTO Monitoring

So it’s been confirmed that managers have a dashboard on workday to monitor badge swipes. Does anyone know if they’re monitoring VPN access, aka login in from home? I think it will be a matter of time before they start doing that but curious if it’s... — read more

Sekou’s Conduct Providing Job Security?

Seems Sekou’s misconduct has served his boss and direct reports well. Planned cuts to the branch region executives can’t happen as planned and Tim’s departure is held up as well.

June Layoffs

So it’s coming please post if you hear anything next week and which areas were hit.

Minneapolis how are you coping?

How are you all feeling after they made you clean out your desk, pack your personal items and take it home? I’ve been down just thinking about it.

Over 40 + People of Color Are You Ok?

WTX is going on? Every other week I find out another good person is gone. It’s never the lazy or toxic people but the good ones. i didn’t want to see it for a while but now there’s no ignoring the fact that it’s usually someone older than me or... — read more

Tracking

We were told today that they are tracking RTO with badge swipes. What are they using for everyone else? And if it’s to see if you’re connected to the network, why are you considering badge swipes at all? Is it to do a Quick Look at how many people... — read more

They are moving to wave 2 of RTO

Haven’t even finished round one with MN yet but HR is already moving forward with mapping for wave 2 hubs and not many people who were mapped as remote will be happy. They want you in the hub.

HR whistleblower

Our HR team has become a joke. Gone are the days when it was a trusted and fair function that protected the bank’s interests and employees. Today it’s become a dark hole where senior executives collude to pursue personal agendas. Those of who work in... — read more

Kate Whittington fans and victims

Kate is evp and customer experience officer for the bank. She runs a very tight ship. One where there are no leaks, tears, or missing rudders. She runs it like it’s hers because she believes it’s hers. Her loyal sailors serve at her beck and call... — read more

Approved exception to RTO?

I was told I could go to HR and ask for a “reasonable accommodation” to get approval to continue working remotely. I have multiple issues related to acute anxiety. Anyone else gotten approval for this?

Trying to jump ship but first…

I’m on maternity leave and approved for the 19 weeks. After this whole RTO bs I’m not looking forward to working back in the office or paying additional expenses like parking and childcare. How long do I have to work after returning from leave in... — read more

Quit your whining and grow up!

Thats the message senior managements are telling us in all these quarterly calls. Either grow up and stop whining or maybe USBank isn’t the place for you because nothing is going to change. As you can tell by their tone, USBank is vet much people... — read more

The Layoff Bank

I’m calling it how I see it. This bank has been silently laying people off and getting away with it for way to long. Its new official name is The Layoff Bank.

Where are the hubs?

I saw jobs posted for three different cities in New Jersey. There can't be 3 hubs in an out of footprint state. Are these job postings just a bait and switch tactic? Does anyone have an up to date list of the hub locations that they can cut and paste... — read more

Acceleration

I can't say what department that I am I'm in and have no ideas about possible layoffs, but it seems RTO efforts are accelerating.

Updates for Remote Employees?

Anyone hear anything about the fate of fully remote employees not anywhere near a HUB location or any client center? Will those of us in this situation be let go before the end of the year or just kept on and be able to work as business as usual?... — read more

Lay off

Research Resolutions team of 40 laid off and given until end of June to find new jobs.

The senior leaders are also struggling

The senior leaders are struggling just as much. The amount of movement and changes that are being done behind the scenes leaves everyone in fear that they are going to be eliminated. We have seen individuals with impeccable talents and performance be... — read more

Talk to US Survey - Just DON’T Respond

I deleted without responding so they can’t pump up their engagement numbers. They don’t care what we say anyway, right? If you complain, they’ll know that their strategy to get you to quit is working. I’m not giving them the satisfaction. — read more

RTO

so, if a lot of people just didn’t go back into the office 3x a week, what do we think the actual consequences would be?

Offshoring?

Considering joining the company. Is offshoring an issue?

Monday Blues

Thankful to have a job. However the Monday blues have never felt more real. I feel like a metaphorical bo-b is going to go off in terms of layoffs and RTOs. Just when? Messaging is so unclear it’s nearly impossible to Focus. Can they just get it over... — read more

HR not involved in layoffs?

Is it normal during layoffs for HR to be so uninvolved? Our manager is gone, we report to a new manager who is rarely around. Upper management goes out of their way to avoid us. We are always referred to HR for questions but when you call they don’t... — read more

The sickest thing is they don’t care how we feel

They are lying and fake smiling right in our faces and we have no way to voice our true feelings. It’s gotten so bad that they will retaliate if they hear us saying something that goes against their agenda. It reminds me of certain regimes that... — read more

Headless Horseman Company

This is what it feels like lately. Nobody really running the place. Nobody knows anything, mass confusion, and totally dysfunctional.

Any other contractors (or FTEs) terminated today?

I’m not allowed to contact anyone who was on my team, including my manger, but I’m curious. All I know was that a lot of managers in my portfolio were called into hq on short notice today for a secret meeting.

30 years at the Bank, now treated like a Temp

Treat me like a temp by not having permanent desk, forcing RTO, laying off productive co worker and lying to us about people first and culture cr-p. Treat me like a temp, I will act as one. 30 years as a top performer and rising to VP, I will now... — read more

Struggling

Is anyone else who works here utterly disgusted with how this company operates? My manager is incompetent and rude. My team is in disconnected chaos. I can barely get any work done because of the layers of bureaucracy. I am totally demotivated to... — read more
