AT&T got a 20 billion dollar tax cut from the government and promised to invest in employees. Instead they have been replacing thousands of employees with prisoners who are paid less than $2 a day. Of course the company doesn't have to provide any benefits, and prisoners who don't want to be used as slave labor end up in solitary confinement . A clause in the 13th amendment makes this legal, but it doesn't make it right.
