Man I am so glad I left the T. I learned automation but the buffoons they call management had no clue where to put people and instead play political games against each other so I left. I never seen so many vp's having pissing contests. And guess what I am in my fifties and kept my skills up to date and got certified and was given offers the first three jobs I applied. That was 2 years ago and now one of those companies just offered me another job because we kept in contact and now I am going to that company because mostly they are growing and give a bigger bonus the T ever gave me. But today another third company called me and wants to interview me so I am going for that just to see what they have to say.
Just wanted to post this in case any management gets down on themselves. Just keep your mind sharp and enjoy what you do and good things will happen. And guess what I did it all without the c-ap computer science classes T made you go through that I went through 20 years ago in college. Programming is programming you just have to adjust what language you use and the syntax.
T is clueless and will never change. But I hope all the people that find themselves in a surplus keep your chin up there are technology jobs out there.
Now I am going to be free of att products and will never buy another one of their products. They had good products and IMO they blew it and instead wasted money on buying other companies. Their growth isn't organic it is just money from wireless being used to buy randy and john new toys and more power (at least in their minds).
