Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The eNPS survey is a good thing in my humble opinion.

Nearly every competitor of AT&T has the same. An anonymous survey is really the only way to get unfiltered feedback from employees. That being said, the survey for Q2 2019 asks some of the same lame brain questions as it usually does about whether you would recommend AT&T as a place to work and how likely you are to “recommend AT&T products & Sevices.

If you are a current employee and cannot answer a 9-10 on either/both of these, you are just plain stupid. AT&T pays well and the benefits are at least as good as any competitor (State/Fed Govt aside). Again, that being said, the pressure and fast paced nature of many jobs at AT&T really puts some folks in a downtrodden cycle that is hard to break. The pressure and unrealistic objectives in some departments is almost ridiculous to say the least. TG for lots of PTO allotment as it’s needed just to decompress most of the time

I always gave a 10 on everything. Also said the job requirements were at a level of a sixth grader for effort. Leadership was clueless and made job easy to sidestep the rules. Sadly I never once was confronted about my responses.

These surveys are not to tell them what you want, but rather what you dislike.

If you think for a millisecond that a policy makers gives a rats a$$ what the peons think you’re delusional and naive.

They want you to quit.

A stronger statement is not to fill it out.

key works about Op's post:" Humble opinion", and everyone that does not agreed with him is "plain stupid",

Free Physiological profile of OP: represents the way unconscious resentment about all sorts of old emotional injuries from the past continues to poison you even in the present.

His entire mind process is a bit like what happens when an insect stings you and you feel a pain way out of proportion to the size of the stinger.

First he simply recognize that it will hurt you. that way you will have to explore the wound to find the stinger.

The stinger represents the insult that is directed to hurt you, he figures that as you are digging out the stinger represents the psychological task of realizing how this one insult pierces deep into your self-esteem. These type of people thrive in AT&T's culture.

you guys act like this is something new. if you haven't been telling the truth on the enps for the last 5yrs, then shame on you. i don't tell anyone, that i work for att. in the past, when i did, i constantly got ripped, because our company s---s so bad. i constantly have to submit exec escalations, just to keep services running for my family and friends. i have no idea what other folks do, who don't have access to an internal escalation process. i can only guess they cancel all att services, and go on to the next provider.

Sounds like you have never been a Technician in your entire life.. Try being one for a year and then tell us how many 9-10 ratings you give out in the next survey.

Not my job to rate/review my boss, coworkers or the company.

They don’t care and only a fool believes they do.

Never did one, or the old 360 evaluations.

Smile, wave and cash the checks.

As the previous commenter said, newer additions to AT&T's dysfunctional family do NOT receive great pay and benefits. They are treated like garbage and poorly compensated. This includes DTV, Uverse, Inhome, and all the overseas sweatshops replacing former good American jobs.

This is the future of AT&T. Going forward, the only people making good money here will be Randal, his Johns and the top layer of pampered executives.

"If you are a current employee and cannot answer a 9-10 on either/both of these, you are just plain stupid. "

Were I an executive whose yearly bonuses exceed the average employees LIFETIME salary, then I could answer a 9-10 on the questions you refer to. The executive level doesn't have to worry about if they're going to be laid off at any moment or not and, even if they did, they win the lotto every year so I doubt they have much to be concerned about.

So, if you can get the Executive Gig then sure, I would recommend it all day long. If you can't, find someplace else to work because this company went to s**t the moment SBC picked up the AT&T brand name.

You obviously aren't a DTV Prem Tech or you would not have said we have good benefits.

Since you THoles bought us DTV folks, my deductible has risen from 1k per household to 1500 each person and also managed to delete about 2/3rds of my towns medical personnel from my Approved Network.

As for the money - I'm still down about 300 a week from my piece rate days so eff you and your momma.
