Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

They just cut NFL Network 😂😂😂. Also it’s cut from U-verse but still on regular DirecTV.

I just googled directvnow buffering and the poster is correct that many are complaining about that problem. And no one, on their support board offered any clear cut solution. Many of the complaints are along the lines of "Netflix, hulu, etc doesn't buffer on the same device..." That points to it not being anything the user can control but something more in the distribution system.

Perhaps the people who do not see the problem, physically live closer to a video distribution center such that they do not experience internet latency.

For DTVnow, you basically need 10Mbit minimum, but preferably 25Mbit+. That's USEABLE bandwidth, and what you need for EACH TV. Personally, I think with all the other activities on people's networks, a 3 TV household needs a solid 150Mbit connection. Good luck with that!

It works fine on Apple TV with fiber, Apple devices. Used it with a hotspot and it was clear then too. If you’re grandfathered into the older packages with the better pricing it’s a good deal. The new pricing with less channels was really a bad move and the customer loss will be huge. Also I find the commercials on on demand are horrible.

Yeah I have heard from other people too that the buffering is horrible. Still using uverse with fiber to the prem.

The problem with DirecTV Now is they increased the price and reduced the number of channels. What id--t thinks this is a good deal?

I have DTVNow and have zero issues. I honestly don't get the hate for it. Works perfectly fine and I use it on my Apple TV.

I have DTVNOW and don't have any issues with buffering. As far as the DVR after 30 days, you do realize that almost all the stuff shown is on demand so you can still search for it after and watch. Done that plenty of times. I watch it thru phones, web browser and fire stick tv 4K. Maybe its user error or not fast enough internet.

I have directv now and I love it. I don’t have any of the buffering issues and have had it for about a year. I watch directv now on Apple TV though and maybe that’s the difference. I’ve heard those who use it on roku or chrome cast having more issues. My internet speed is only 45 mpbs on at&t service.
