Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The Peter Principal....Starring Randy Boy

“The Peter Principal is a concept in management theory developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their Level of Incompetence. In other words, employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs rather than on the abilities relevant

to the intended one.”

Thus, the employee (Manager/Randy etc) only stops being prompted once they can no longer perform effectively and “managers rise to the level of their incompetence.”

I believe Randy has stopped performing effectively, the only question....where’s his next stop? Who would want him?......early retirement would gladly have him I suppose, I would settle for that.

@xml, enjoyed your short post that reminded me of an old saying:

“Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would come in.”

1uqz, Randy....you ok? You went from ragging on a spell check violation then right into an incoherent Michael Cohen bribery rant! You ok old sod? You realize that had nothing to do with what everyone else is discussing?

Take some time off, the ex employees will pick up your tab!

"Principle" not "Principal."

And since Randall Peter-Principled out at the very top, this argument is unfortunately weaker than other explanations.

I look at that $600K bribe that was authorized to Michael Cohen and begin to think, "Hmm, maybe there's some corruption involved here."

We're just a collection of beta mice with passive-aggressive tendencies. I think we all need a healthy dose of man the f**k up. Signing off to seek a better life.

if readers of this blog want to affect AT&T corporate and management culture then use your degree or obtain one and struggle to achieve a higher administrative level . then and only then you would be in the position to bring on real change. moaning and bellyaching in the trenches about mistreatment offers only temporary relief. stand already!

BTW Kevin Dutton is an effete Oxford finger-sniffer who sees sociopaths everywhere except his own bathroom mirror.

@-lmk- Nice try Randy. You're NOT a winner, you're a sociopath. We do not admire you, we think you are scum.

Macleod’s company hierarchy fits very well with AT&T.

I think randy is a sociopath.

Here are the top ten jobs that attract sociopaths, according to author Kevin Dutton:

CEO. ...

Lawyer. ...

Media. ...

Salesperson. ...

Surgeon. ...

Journalist. ...

Policeman. ...

Clergyman.
