Word is in NY IPP offered- last Wed. was cutoff date- Company still hasn't notified techs if they can leave due to possible large number of applicants. Negotiations underway to try and accommodate all who want to leave. 135 offered package- no telling how many wanted to go.

Confirmed with union off payroll 12/22 ...$2,200 per year plus $10,000. Not sure why you havent heard anything but could be that its limited and not affecting you local? . Clerks is all ive heard. Not sure if there are other titles as well or what other states involved

What local in N.J. are you speaking of ?
Don't you think it's odd that nothing is actually posted on any union web site but one local is giving info out that all of the other locals are not sharing with their members. Im not retiring but just received my mail without the package alot of people thought were coming their way today.Either way the national should have come out with a announcement to either say yes there is a offer coming with the info, or no there isn't a offer. No one on this thread really knows what's happening and it's become a devisive issue that should be addressed one way or another.
Seems like we are the crumbs to the union now that CWA represents so many different people.

Our union in NJ sent an email saying an eisp was announced and had a list of locations and titles. Said off payroll would be December 21st. Union website had nothing yet but should be announced soon.

This site is terrible, just a bunch of b.s.
I think it is Hans toying with everyone.
No one has recieved a offer. The only thing I've seen posted is someone claiming a EISP is coming then show numbers that show a regular ISP with no enhancement. Don't waste your time waiting at the mailbox.
Might just be people trying to trigger others.... The VZ way

No info on any union web site about EISP offer. Nothing on the national site either.
Keep hearing how we are winning or check your mailbox, or union board yet not one detail of offer.
If this is legit you would think maybe at least one person would have included the details in this "offer" on this or any other thread..... No one has. Where's the beef?
All nonsense talk until the offer is presented.

Just recieved my "offer" from VZ. It was a junk mail flyer sent to demonstrate the "value" of the current lump sum buyout based on the current historical interest rates. It also warns of the "impact" a raise in rates could have. Looks like they are trying to shake loose some low hanging fruit. They dont mention that if you aren't 55 or older ( beginning the year you are turning 55 ) or commit to take a minimum yearly withdrawal for 5 consecutive years you are hit with a additional 10% penalty for early withdrawal. If you are a few years away from 55 and your buyout reduced by 50k over that period of time, it would be way more beneficial to grow your 401k and make 150-200k in salary. Then you can retire the year you turn 55 and withdraw without the 10% penalty. If the market continues to do half as well as it has been your 401k should also grow pretty well. If there is no enhanced offer please be sure to speak to a financial adviser before making this important decision.
Good luck to all.

Word in Ny is it's either ipp ir eipp not an eisp. Where it is they're looking to get rid of 200 fuel tax on Long Island and the 150 between the boroughs. Before 2021 or potentially the end of the contract not sure

Our 2nd level said today that in NJ there will be 170 facility techs declared surplus. No other details except that it will be announced very soon.

I have heard everything from and regular eipp to a 10 and 10 to a 5 + 5. I don't believe any of them but the common theme that I have been hearing is the company wants to get rid of a lot of people and do some hiring after the new year. In order for them to get rid of a lot of field techs they would need to make a decent offer that is what I am optimistic about.

Ok. The joking around is funny but all kidding aside. There are people with the years who would like to go and are waiting for word . Is there any credible info out there? Seems like we have a few weeks to receive anything if off payroll this year. Generally there is a package in the spring and fall. Nothing this year yet- hard to imagine there will be nothing at all. My office sits everyday after running out of work.

To all the nay sayers out there....I posted this 8 months ago! Told you an eisp was coming in 2019!! I didn’t know when but I have a good source that said there definitely would be one this year. The last week of October the union will release a list of locations and titles.....company to mail out paperwork to those eligible to take it during the first week of November. Hope it is the enhanced eisp and across the board. Good luck everyone!
