This is simply a war of attrition being fought by our own Company against us, their own employees.
As IEFS former DTV, we are subject to daily forced overtime to accommodate same day drop ins at 5 in the evening, put on 6 day weeks with 24 hour notices at best, told to commute unpaid for distances up to 70 miles - on site by eight mate! Leave in the dark, get home in the dark.
To say nothing of the equipment shortages of the past year that is forcing us to reuse equipment from previous customers and going as far as to take equipment off peoples houses that no longer use our service just to have an lnb to install on some new s---er's place.
Supposedly refurbished Genies that still have the previous users recordings on the drive - impressive to a new install customer especially if the former user was a p--n addict.
In our roof walker minds, we see this is a deliberate effort by AT&T to debase and discredit the DirecTV side of their business laying the groundwork for either spinning us off, forcing us to quit in disgust, or set the stage for a propaganda campaign to champion streaming over direct delivery so s---ers will buy their OTT box.
While blatantly obvious to us on the ground, I am still amazed when one of our revolving door of Area Managers comes to our shop and after pointing out our great NPS scores, and CRIFT scores and completion ratios ,etc, then has the temerity to ask - "why are so many of you guys quitting?"
Why?
Because while we may crawl your attic, or wiggle under your double wide, we were once people with pride in our work and had a company that appreciated that effort.
You are not that company.
