Not. I took some extra time to think it through, but still came to my original conclusion-the McE town hall was insulting and clueless towards employees. If you didn’t attend, here’s what you missed:
Jeff said he didn’t like surpluses, but there will be more. If you don’t like them, start to make the company more revenue.
Mentioned that recent surplused weren’t “just” based on location. (So- I assume that means they know the impact they are in for...?)
Finally, said there were no more customers to get, we needed to steal them.
(For the below points,I may have mixed up who delivered them)
Another guy spoke to the same thing, saying we needed to get off our a***es and make more money for the company so we won’t get laid off. Also noted we opened a nice new facility overseas to take care of customers.
Introduced a new ATT kiosk where you can instantly purchase a SIM card - wow!!!(sarcasm)
The last guy spoke about how much our brand name mattered, then showed a bunch of videos about how we were all probably too old or dumb to know what e-sports was and how that was our future (???!) It seems that gamers are chomping at the bit for our 5G service to play games on WiFi and mobile.
Also, we have new internet “snap on caps” that we want to install on power lines because no one can live without their phone or internet service anymore.
Finally, we helped CardiB when she complained about T-Mobile. We replied on Social media and gave her a new phone, and in the process, we stole a lot of customers.
For our logo- our new colors- “ATT blue” , will be everywhere and our ads trendy, and it makes everyone, young and old, feel included.
There you go, now hop to it and make more money for the company so you don’t get laid off!
