Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I can't believe anyone is defending WF at this point

WF didn't "drop" its insurance license. It was TAKEN AWAY from WF due to WF's fraud, as part od the settlement. And if WF ever wants to get back into insurance business again, it has to wait years and then pay millions just to get back in.

To poster who thinks everyone else (govt., CFPB, etc.) is to blame for WF fraud, you are WRONG. WF is solely to blame. WF brought ALL of this on itself and deserves to be punished (up to and including going out of business). Customers are leaving in droves now.

I can't believe anyone is defending WF at this point. Lots of good employees, but totally corrupt leadership. This is a pivotal year...radical changes in leadership (unlikely) or the beginning of the end for WF (total sell-off).

Reposted this from @WW7CxBO-1xyb . Well said.

You guys don't work for Wells and I can tell believing everything you read. I know several Frontline workers who would disagree. It's ok though they got their 5 minutes of fame. So once again let's keep the board to info on REAL LAYOFFS not your constant hate

Those jobs were created by vapor due to the company overstating its growth and over hiring. Don't think for a moment anyone is entitled to a job or that a company, society or a government owes them a job.

To the poster who said “Stop bashing a company that is trying to right it’s ship”....

Maybe you need a dose of reality. Please read the article below. Hot off the press.

https://amp.theguardian.com/business/2019/jan/04/wells-fargo-fake-accounts-scandal-employees

Frontline employees think nothing has changed. Essentially,,, we took a small break and for the last year we have been tip-toeing back towards sales goals. See,,,,, the board promoted people who helped make this mess to replace the last people who led the way making this mess. They have learned by example that they not only have gotten away with it but have been rewarded for criminal activity. Why would they change? Would you? At the same time, they won’t let us unionize but touts it’s strong engagement with team members. Please lecture us more about steering the ship in the right direction (Sarcasm).

The fact is there are people defending it because it is the lively hood for every employee who works there over 200k so when you say you want it broken up or closed what your saying is f you to over 200k employees who most did nothing wrong. So yeah people don't want to lose their job. And with the current layoffs 10% that leaves 90% with a job still. Stop bashing a company that is trying to right it's ship. And if you don't have anything productive to add about layoff which is what this site is for why don't you go pit you anti Wells Fargo B's somewhere else

No one is defending WF or blaming the regulators. The hope is that the bank will be broken up by the regulators now all the skeletons have been exposed, i.e., life insurance, auto insurance, pet insurance, legal insurance, and renters insurance policies fraudulently opened to get money.
