I am disturbed by the amount of people I have heard from, that are either being asked 'what will it take to make you stay' or, because they've told their manager they volunteered, the manager took it upon themselves to ask for them to be held until March.
This is not right. People may have thought they were just being courteous when they told their managers they were volunteering, but it's coming back to bite them!
How many posters believe the decision is completely out of the hands of these managers/supervisors? In other words, can a manager beg the director to keep someone and that would be adhered to?
