I think the latest quarterly report is under stating the problems. From a retail perspective, whether you're COR, AR, National retail or IHX (Or any other form of sales I may have forgotten) your pay is dependent upon entertainment sales. T lost more customers then they took on. You're only kidding yourself if you believe stores are legitimately selling upwards of 100 DTV premium subscriptions per month. They're signing people up then cancelling installs. Running generic socials. Installers are showing up at homes and the customer doesn't even know why they're there. The shady practices are happening at a slower rate than the mass exodus of subscribers. And THERE IS A LOT OF SHADINESS going on in this company. It's not the rep's faults for the most part. Superiors hit their subordinates with their misery. They threaten jobs, income and livelihood. That happens from presidents all the way down to RSC's. From layer to layer. The good people have left, the shady people replace them and then leave quickly once they're hit with the integrity in sales speeches, or are committing so much fraud they get terminated. (Which is usually an ungodly amount of fraud). And it's only going to get worse. In take back markets they stopped no TV required for BOGO's and require it again. That's going to slow down gross adds. Existing customers will migrate to other carriers that don't require TV service that doesn't even work in a light drizzle. If they're going to Verizon, you might as well say your final good byes. You'll never see them again.
As for DTV Now, what a cluster F. Here's how they've accumulated their existing customer base. First, promos where you get a free streaming device with a certain length of time's subscription. They cancel once done. second, a year free subscription that's no longer offered. And finally fraud. We're all adults here. You know it's going on. I would say only 5% of DTV Now subscribers actually know they're subscribed to it and use it. Now that there's barely any promos, no one wants to pay for that c***. They only added 49,000 subscribers over 3 months. That's approximately 327 per state per month. Anyone have any idea how many commissionable ATTUID's there are nationwide? I bet more than the 16,333 per month DTV Now subs added. So do the math. We're F'd.
