Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The importance of taking and honestly answering the anonymous survey

I think if people don’t take the survey, it will lead to senior leaders thinking all is wonderful and cozy. I too am blatantly honest in the surveys too. Can’t fire me for honesty and honesty is part of having integrity. Please do take the survey, it’s essential that management knows how team members really feel. In my opinion, most are not happy nor secure in their jobs along with fed up with the current status quo. Back in the day, managers were the ones that knew the job and processes inside out and would pitch in when it’s needed. That is certainly not how it is now. Unfortunately due to a medical issue I am not able to take the survey as I have no access to it to take it and wish I did. Speak up team members please.

This was a reply to another thread ( @VJkBJzr-api ), but I think that the OP has a point. Fear just generates the wrong picture in the eyes of HR and the management. I don’t want to open a discussion on whether the survey is really anonymous, or not, but if we all address our problems and complaints they certainly can’t fire everyone.

The surveys are not anonymous they track you through your computer name and IP address.

The survey doesn’t mention anonymous, seen 2 employees fired based on their responses.

There is a difference between the q2/q3 and the survey they just put out. Its 3rd party and not directly related to your branch. @VKUJSBd-1raj

I had a manager’s immediate boss tell me that our group had terrible scores on a previous survey - during a conversation about what a worthless nincompoop my manager, since fired, was.

My response - If the survey is anonymous how do you know that?

Well he hemmed and hawed, and gave me an explanation about how they can score the surveys but cant tell who submits the comments (unless they recognize your writing style).

They know exactly who takes the survey, who doesn’t, and who says what. Don’t kid yourself.

If they are so Anonymous then tell me why my boss said she can tell who fills them out by how they word their coaching surveys. Also under 2 different bosses our team got called in scolded for giving them a bad review. I NEVER fill them out

In the 6 years of employment I have completed these surveys, I have been totally honest. NOTHING has changed we still have the same bosses and clicks running this place. We still have the same favorites. It has gotten me No promotion or job change. So I am done filling out these surveys which none of them matter.!!

I am glad my previous comment started a new thread. Being scared to be honest is just want they want. News will say morale is great, blah blah blah. Do you really not want senior leaders to know how you really feel? There are certainly a lot of comments in teamwork’s about the disdain and why not have your voice? Anonymous or not, we deserve to be heard. And yes, they can’t fire everyone. I hope the majority are not scaredy cats as the commentators here are posting. We need to let them know our displeasure. How can things change if they don’t get the honest feedback. Your own integrity should be first not selling out. After all, the scandals have tarnished your good name too, guilt by association. Speak up!

Reputational damage??? You're kidding; right?

If they cared at all about that, we wouldn't be in this mess! They act as if they LOVE reputational damage!!!!

Everyone should honestly answer the survey questions otherwise, management will continue to think they are doing a good job. The only way to make improvements is to make sure management knows exactly how the troops feel. The only time the confidentiality is breached is when someone makes a threat in the comments. Besides, think of the reputation damage if people were fired based on honest survey comments

They claimed previous surveys were anonymous and confidential. They were neither. But this time it’s different. They wouldn’t lie to us, now - would they?

Survey stated "confidential". With whom is what's important.

NO trust or confidence in WF.

Do they tout the survey as "anonymous" (a strong guarantee) or just "confidential" (a much weaker statement).

Either way, I'd be careful what you say.

I was honest, too. But nothing with WF is ever anonymous and they CAN fire you -- they just make up another reason.

The questions about employee loyalty and whether you are looking to leave WF were appalling 9n the survey. How about leaders take a survey about how loyal THEY are to their employees???? Where is THAT survey????

Frankly, I'm sick of the B.S. Tired of being treated like we're invisible and disposable. We've been abandoned by leadership.

All they care about is the almighty $$$. And they make sure they get their $$$!!!

And trust me, their bad behavior is trickling down through mgt. We haven't even had a staff mtg in 7 MONTHS because our mgrs are too busy trying to land new roles and save themselves. They don't deserve to manage anyone. Total lack of character across the board.
