Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What's with all IHX hate?

So many people hoping to see layoffs there. It doesn't affect me one way or another, but it'd be nice to at least know if there is actual bases for all the hate?

Maybe if management changed your name to any thing but “IHX” everyone would stop making fun of you for awhile. Just a suggestion..

Post ID: @UEZoQgC-7dcw. I am not a "tech installer" sales boy. I bought the last 3 mobile phones at Walmart. I didn't get crammed or scammed like I did when I bought the first one from a COR store. I tried before to be loyal and buy from an AT I do not want to buy the bullchit extended warranty on the car you are selling and when that fails you, I do not want extra pickles on my burger, nor do I want to super-size it.

The fact that you think whatever b---s--- hat was written is true makes me certain your a tech installer. Yes THERE will be someone replaced but it’s not IHX. It’s YOU. Once 5g comes along there won’t be any need for tech installs. We will be doing your work just not outside soooooo.....bye bye :)

Oh snap! @UEZoQgC-5hja found a grammatical error in you're, I mean, your post. That must mean everything that you said is not true. He got you...SMH. Meanwhile sales-clowns will promise the moon with no regard to the fact that customers cannot get the service level they are promising. "Close the sale" and let the tech work out the nasty details of why it is impossible. The word I'm looking for is F[_]CK YOU. Well, you'll be gone soon enough though.

Exactly! All IHX and retail reps do is push buttons while we work in the heat all day doing the REAL work of connecting there services that is when the sales people pushing buttons dont push ones saying customers get 100mbps even though it is 756k tops!!!!

Basically after reading all these comments what I gather is IHX and Retail sales are at odds because each one wants credit for “pushing a button “. That an impressive work resume you have there!

Every service you provide can be done online. I can order a phone, tv and internet online. I can activate a SIM online. The push for shipping products and customer self install will become easier and preferred.

Going to a retail sales office and standing in line to get the wrong service or options activated is going to be a thing of the past.

I hate it when you finally convince a customer to sign up with AT&T and give AT&T a shot.. You know, kick comcast to the curb.. And the installation tech shows up.. He's having a bad day.. perhaps, its a little windy? the sky is grey? he missed his union sanctioned 15 minute break? it could be a number of thousands of things.. And guess what that order doesn't install. Even though YOU the seller did YOUR job and SOLD the customer and helped reassure them that we are a good buy and that they were gonna have a great experience on install day..

Then we get some stick in the mudd union employee with a bad attitude who doesn't want to do his job and the job gets jepped... You know you can look at every story two ways.. And my experience is the tech is ALWAYS having a "bad day" ..

Funny sales people just hit a button and don’t lie! Lol sir there is fiber to your house now we replaced the the 1940’s lead cable!

Door to door and inside sales do this daily!!

Then the poor tech comes out and have to be the go-between and explain to them they been lied to!! Embarrassing

Typical ihx blame someone else for your lack of understanding of how the network works and for double checking every thing before lying to customers about what speed and experiencce thay will get. Just because a button is there does not mean to press it! Check your other systems before lying to customers!

To the techs on these boards that don’t fully understand how placing an order works. When a customer comes in asking for the fastest internet possible, we simply have a system that tells us based on the address what speed is available. If it says 25mb is available that’s what we order. We cannot place an order for 25mb if the system doesn’t say it’s available. It’s simply put the address in and click what speed the customer wants that’s available, that’s the end of the transaction for us. We do not chose pairs, cables, bonded pair, single pair. We have no indication of loop length or what’s truly available other than what the button on the computer lets us order. By the way we are instructed and trained by AT&T to order the fastest speed available for the customer to have the best experience. So please quit blaming sales people for messing up orders. Obviously there is a problem with engineering or whoever loads addresses in the system with availability.

Ihx always sells people on faster internet than what the network will do and i hate that sh-- because customers blame me when it was ihx who told customer she would get 50 mbps when only 1 or 2 available and single pair

IHX trademarks? Try TECH trademarks. You only see techs whining and complaining about everything and their spelling and grammar are complete c-ap. Go check yourself.

Those of you that trash others and call them scum of the Earth, I can't understand what you're saying. Proper grammar would be nice when posting here, but then again, you're calling people scum so I don't know if you know proper grammar.

IHX does not go to homes where DTV/U-Verse/Internet orders were placed in stores. IF they are, and they are "stealing your ops" then you weren't doing YOUR JOB properly when placing the order, so take a look at yourself before blaming others for your poor sales.

I imagine in my head that 90% of the people that post here really hate their lives and have nothing better to do than to bring down other operations/people in the company to make themselves feel better for maybe a few seconds. Love and light, you'll be happier, I promise.

(I'm in IHX, came from a COR store and I am 100% happier with my life.)

The cable plant is in disrepair due to poor management and IHX’s hard sell is an exercize in futility. Mayber one day IHX will get their hands dirty instead of drinking koolaid, they couldnt find a cross in a church with their technical skills.

IHX and Techs have been stealing store ops. I planted 3 DTV orders the last two weeks and all three of my friends called when the tech and IHX arrived and were told DTV is no good and they should get UVERSE. Customer(friends) said they were going to call the store up and IHX should ask to talk to the manager 2 of them said it was a mistake and DTV would be just fine the other said that they were repairing the satellites and we didn't know what we were talking about(LOL) IHX and Techs are now in bed together trying to get bonuses. They are all scum and come Nov 1 IHX will be destroyed by the ongoing lies and unethical practices. I would say that Techs who converted to IHX are most corrupted many of those that started at COR or as RSC feel guilty about this. The crazy thing as their managers say that they know its going on but unless they know the person at COR probably shouldn't do it, but if it's an online order or Tele cancel and submit order. Scum of the earth

I've realized from these forums that techs don't know how to spell or use spellcheck.

What area are you in that IHX wears casual clothes?? Every one I've seen look nicer than ones that work in the stores.

IHX another failed project. They drive around in air conditioned cars, wear casual clothes and talk to customers for 30 minutes tops, doing the job techs should be doing but cant because the plants sh-- and we a running around changing pairs and running lines. After four hours people dont want to buy phones off us, they want us out of their house already. Literally the most cake job, I have a lot of former techs where I'm at doing it. I'd do it, lord knows my back could use it but I like union protection from T. I've seen %80 of managers I've ever met get ran out of the business. These IHX guys will be no diffrent.
