Found this on Barnes & Nobles' page, I'm really not sure what to make of it:
I was with B&N for 13 years and was laid off. I took the severance package that precluded me from ever working for B&N in the future (think about the logic of that policy) I ended up at Belk and was there for almost 2 years. PURE HELL. I had to quit before I needed to be hospitalized. I contacted corporate HR and they started a year long process to get rid of the manager. I then found FOLLETT. Not a perfect company (are there any REALLY?). What a difference. Great hours and people and I now have a real life, making more money than at B&N or Belk! Check them out! Too old? I am 61 and have now been with Follett for 2 years!
