Do we know if this has completed? Just curious, there was a big hoopla in the media last year about the sale, the plan was to offload the group and work together on 'strategic' stuff - the way I've read it Verizon Enterprise Solutions was throwing in the towel... It's not like IBM is doing much better but just curious about how this ended up and did many people got axed (IBM typically axes a ton of resources).

Don’t forget Cloud Storage 2 - from the genius minds who spent millions on Cloud Storage 1. That was a total success.
Verizon Cloud, thanks to the brilliant minds that made up TerrorMark, built on what makes Verizon unique — a heritage in cloud and a unique set of network, security and managed services assets. Heck — they invented the term “workload”. No baby pandas there! Thanks to this brilliance, Verizon and now IBM, provide enterprises with the technology solutions they need —in the manner they need them — to drive business transformation.
IBM are doing great things with the amazing managed services and cloud stack they purchased from Verizon - it’s top notch reliability and efficiency and the kind of enterprise grade services are the sfuff that businesses are clamouring for. And it all totally exists and works. Absolutely. There was definitely no fraud involved.
They kept the most talented and best looking of the product managers and transferred he/she over to IBM. And they kept some of the Terremark folk too, because that was a totally winning acquisition of amazing calibre people with a product portfolio that was completely missing from the Digex and Totality acquisitions. I mean, that Terremark deal was just great and every involved in it was so smart. Look at how pathetic our revenue numbers were before, and how we totally smashed them afterwards with that seamless integration.
So, in summary, cloud was a total success lead by an inspired and visionary leader we were so lucky to get from CSC. And we just made all our cloud platforms better and then sold them to IBM for a huge profit. Everybody comes out of this looking great.
Just google search ibm/verizon. Ibm has a nice page and video about their partnership with verizon to provide verizon customers with a great customer experience.
Yep all done.
Here is a thread about outsourcing Verizon IT to IBM, it's a bit old but a good discussion:
