Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Leads are severely underpaid

Not my post, but I agree completely with everything stated and thought it belonged on the front page. OP is @Sc8Q8Vf-bqtt.

I'm a lead and now the tellers make 15 an hour while I've been with the company for years and now only make 89 cents more. How can he sleep at night especially when we are the ones handling risk way more than a banker. We are the ones that give those bankers customers to begin with. We handle all the money that comes into the branch but we are treated like crap when the bankers make out far better than us. Every single branch manager and service manager who has been in their position since the scandal broke got that position by gaming. Rumors are the service managers will give up their raises for the leads to make up for the fact that tellers were making 13 and got a 2 dollar raise while we got 51 cents. I am almost to the point where I'll step down to a teller so I'm only responsible for my cash and customer interactions. As a lead I am responsible for my transactions as well as the tellers. Sloan should be ashamed of himself. He says that we are the most important to the company yet when it comes to compensation we get paid like we are the least valuable asset. I'm waiting to find out if my branch will close and will take the severance and unemployment

If you are truly making only 89 cents above new-hire rate after being here four years, I’d say you’re making about 89 cents too much.

The comment saying quit obviously shows that they don't know that tellers and leads don't open acts. Also ignorant to all other banks requiring sales when the current WF employees truly believed a customer service score base was way better than sales. WF is bringing back sales requiring at least 5 sit downs a week for products the customer doesn't need a banker for such as zelle and turning the debit card on and off.

Yes, endure the injustice for now and look for another job, and if you're forced to do anything illegal make copies of documents to back it up, to save yourself in case the situation turns south.

So why don’t you quit?! Plenty of of banks hiring and they won’t force you to open bogus accounts

The tellers are the most vulnerable because they're the ones forced by the bank to sell to customers or lose their jobs. If you're being forced to steal money at least they'll pay you for your efforts, but they become scapegoats and get fired.

True with all your hard work and ongoing sales cross selling still on the down low it's tough. And if $20 goes missing they'll try to fire you.
