You wireless whiners are spineless. A union is not some magical entity that bestows you with good fortune. No union will be able to ever do a thing for you because a union requires solidarity and a strong will. You will always remain divided and envious of others in and outside of your work groups. You feel you are better educated and more capable. You feel unions are old fashioned, out of touch with the times and beneath you. A union can only work with the people in the represented work group. A meek, scared, feckless and lazy base will never get anywhere with any union. A united strong willed group can get a more than fair deal with their employer. The power that frontline wireless people could wield over this company is astounding. Imagine being able to shut down the whole system at once call centers, corporate stores, the eastern seaboard's wireline operation, etcetera. The company would listen then especially with a country at near full employment, but alas that day will never come and the company knows it.
No, you will moan about conditions, quit and work elsewhere (actually not a bad idea), delude yourself into some southern yahoo belief in the "right to work" nonsense, continue to jump through smaller and higher hoops with lesser payouts all the while bad mouthing those who have bargained for a better deal. A union like the teamsters would laugh at your weaknesses. The amount of work to get you ship shape is almost insurmountable. No it will only get worse for you. Eventually you will be like all the rest of the retail world overworked and underpaid at a job commoditized with near nil specialized skills.
I really wish you all the best but you are your own worst enemy. Your behavior use to bother me not anymore. You can wallow in the mess you have made of the place. It is no longer my fight. I can selfishly say that I got mine. The only reason I even read this sight is to find out about EISPs (I know half of what is posted is BS but you never know). I want to leave and am waiting to put the icing on the cake so to speak.
ps. This board here really is for wireline they have a wireless board on here too.
