Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

VZ Managers, Doers?

I don't know if this is happening just in my store or what but I swear it's never good enough.

We are always required to set monthly commitments. If your commitment is around HUM and you sell a tablet or jet pack or whatever else you still fail.

Our quotas are fairly ridiculous so every month it's more and more degrading. At least before we were getting paid well to humiliate ourselves with our customers explaining and apologizing for one of our peers ripping them off by telling them a HUM is included in the package.

Does anyone in Verizon think to look at Amazon btw? Do they realize that we are far overpriced to have our accessory targets that high?

The only think that kept me from being embarrassed for working in a mall is the money I was making, now I would be embarrassed if my family heard how upper management talked to us.

If your commitments are towards a metric and not a behavior then they are coaching you wrong.

Accessory margin is one of the few reasons corporate stores still exist. Sell, sell, sell or GTFO.

There are no leaders at Verizon. Mgmt tries to rule by intimidation only. I was RIF'd several years ago. Found a new job right away. Banked my severance. And now I work for a real company that cares about all employees, not just back-stabbing managers and s----ups.
