I am appalled by the heartless, disgusting, and cutthroat comments made towards coworkers.
People do this when they are desperate to believe that their skills, competence (I use that loosley), and credentials will somehow make them immune to the series of unfortunate events/effects of insatiable corporate greed.
You're not special, you are a number, just like the rest.
Karma/life has a way of humbling those who have lost sight of their humanity and compassion....you'll be drunk with arrogance and fail to see the rug bring pulled out from under you.
At that time, hopefully someone extends to you a fraction of the kindness you so willfully failed to show others.
The men and women who have been here for 30+ years didn't have mommy and daddy there to pay for their fancy piece of paper... they hit the work force before you and I could even grasp the concept. Men and women worth their salt, who paved the way for us: the younger generation.
Save your impetuous and obstinate reply, we've seen your kind before....the embodiment of the pride before the fall.
To those men and women in my father's generation who have been tossed aside after years of loyalty and dedication, I am so sorry for your hardship and for the disgusting lack of respect demonstrated by many of the younger, entitled narcissistic generation that has the audacity to rub salt in your wounds.
