I plan to monitor every technicians work very closely. In fact I plan to be an -out In the field- manager. Don't be surprised to see me show up on your job. I won't be hard pressed to tell you when I think your work is crappy or sub par or tell you right in the spot your doing it all wrong. No sloppy work on my team! You will install an electrical outlet whether you like it or not. I'll help you if you need it.
However, I think unions are the scum of the earth and Verizon has no need for them. I was honest about this at my interview.
At the slightest complaint from customer I will put you on a PIP or make sure you hate your job and have to leave from that moment on. No more random Cofee breaks under me. You techs get paid too much to be playing around. Personally I think you're worth no more than $450 - $550 a week. Way out of line to be making in excess of $1,400.00 a week. Comcast techs make no where close to this and they are still profitable. I also think Sunday pay is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I plan on f'n so many time sheets you never get compensated for Sunday or any type of differential pay. Also double time after 10 hours is so f'n crazy and has to be the most insane thing I've ever heard.
If I move up in this company my number one goal will be to remove and dissolve the union. Director level is my ultimate career path.
First day is today!!!! Wooooohooooo! Get to work scumbags -----> field techs
