Does anyone know for sure if there will be more layoffs in the coming months?
I was called to meet with my Director in OKC, 8 L1 manager surplus today.
Huntsville lost 13 today including 2 more managers
Which group from DTV @ El Segundo got 2 of 13 surplused?
Just found out about our group in the DTV corporate office in El Segudno. Out of 13, two got "surplussed" (I hate that term). It's a hard day, and it really sucks. It's almost easier if half our team was gassed rather than just two. It just seems arbitrary.
Well, now DTV is officially AT&T.
Scheduled calls are surplus calls as well.
Did you say Orlando was hit today? Managers? Reps?
I posted it was terrible because I know a lot of people who were let go
Any news in Orlando?
what about Huntington?? anyone there affected?
It's quiet in Seattle, no updates, no layoffs, good luck all
huntsville was hit this morning, legacy dtv
It's quiet in El Segundo for now (at least in my group) - I hope it stays this way. I am really sorry for all folks that lost jobs and I wish you all the best

11 team leaders shown the door just now in Idaho
Cuts happening in the GMR
Any news from callcenters for Legacy DIRECTV? Are they getting calls?
Laid off this morning, cannot disclose my level, but worked at Outside Plant Engineering, Huntsville... That's it from me, logging off from this site and all att's sites forever. God bless.
some of you people are f---ing stupid
If you have a scheduled call yes you are being retained and random call you are surplus.
That's how it's working here. Looks like they are only retaining about 34% of the RAE/NDAE in the west.
Well it's def happening in Huntsville... My husband just lost his job
It sounds like if you have a scheduled call today you are going to be retained. If you are getting a random call from your DOS you are being surplussed. Can anyone else confirm?
How is that terrible? you have a job????
Frequent poster these last couple of weeks, got notice I am retained. terroble day.
I heard 30% of management but not sure how reliable this was.
Is there a percentage?
They are defintely being notified today. Some already know. This is cruel.
Any updates for call centers? EG
With AT&T owning around 2200 retail stores I can see how 20000 - 40000 folks could be losing their jobs. What a shame. Best if luck to everyone.
Both, everyone will be getting a call in the coming days. New territory and DOS/ARSM/RAE alignment will start June 1
So the calls today are being told they are surplussed or what their new role is?
The person I know was notified by a director located in his location. I think it will vary depending on your group/location.
In Entertainment Group, Roll up to Jody Garcia, in wireless related position. Some people on the team have already been notified of their status.
I have a couple of questions, and hopefully can get some info from here (since upper management seems to be mute).
How are the calls scheduled? Do you get verbal notification, a call, or an email? Also, if someone doesn't have a call scheduled does that mean they got spared? Last, is this the process for all parts of the organization? Are notifications handled identically in call centers, retail locations, and corporate offices in Denver, LA, and Dallas?
Good luck to everyone, whatever the news.
So RAE role is being eliminated but keeping some NDAE's?
Meaning running fire drills for the ARSM and taking on tasks they can't otherwise get to. They may delegate issues or they may delegate a fire drill having you go into an NR account for a table day. If they need info on a store, you will be sent to go see the store and report what's going on with it. On demand delivery basically
Main job will be merchandising, selling and supporting in National Retail.
One on one calls are being scheduled this morning. Some have already received the news.
What do you mean supporting the ARSM?
How about Huntsville?
