It's a place where you must go or risk termination. It is far from home, involves long shifts, and you rarely get a decent break. The harder you try to perform, the stronger the resentment and animosity toward you becomes, including family, co-workers, customers, and union. You must skulk about to avoid being seen / recognized. You're conscience gnaws at you constantly as you know you're negatively impacting fellow employees sacrificing for what they believe is just. Life for you is meaningless, as you're a small bandage covering a cancer and you know that your efforts are a fraud. You are on a Sisyphean labor, endless days for naught.
Sadly, your place in Hell remains post Strike. You sold your soul, sold out your peers, and must carry that weight and stigma forever. The Epitaph reads "stood for nothing, good for nothing, finally at peace".
