Why in the world would the CWA spend tens of thousands of dollars to send a dozen or so CWA members to the Philippines for a fancy vacation when 36,000 of our employees are lucky to get $200 a week from a union strike fund?" the company said in a statement.

This is what these giant American corporations want skilled and unskilled american workers to compete with, $1.73 per hour slave wages. This is the race to the bottom they are seeking. Ask yourself, if you start making 2 bucks an hour down the road, do you think your bills will be reduced to compensate for that due to the wages declining that low in this country? Nope! We are screwed!

I once read an article written in Time magazine about 20 years ago, when IBM was moving most of the U.S. jobs over seas. Written by two white collars ex-IBM (RIF) employees, they each told their story of how they bounced back by performing work they deemed as work that could only be performed here in America. They became a plumbers and electricians, blue collar jobs. They ultimately started their own business's and were successful. My point is that these EWA's are 100 percent expendable. Their work could go anywhere in the world tomorrow and the company wouldn't experience so much as a glitch. If your job is performed in a cubicle/office it can be performed anywhere. Their hatred for unions only feeds the beast that seeks to extinguish their existence. The common fight for American jobs benefits all involved by bringing to light Verizon's movement of work bases solely on increasing profit margin. This includes H1b visa's workers that Verizon is using to eliminate American IT jobs at Verizon using creative titles like Device Technology coordinate, or some other line of bull. Wake up because the Union fight is your fight.
