Right now there are union employees having trouble paying their bills and trouble budgeting for items in the next week or two.
For those members who brag about their houses being paid off. Their kids college educations being paid for, and would be comfortable if the strike lasted for the next year. What does Solidarity mean to you?
Does it simply mean that you picket together when there is a strike? Does it mean that there is one voice in the Union Leadership speaking for all members? Does it mean that members celebrate together if you win, or cry together if you lose? Does it mean that together, everyone blames the Company for their woes?
Or does solidarity mean that you should help your brother members out during the tough times? How many of you, that brag about your financial situation, are willing to help the others who may need help paying their bills and anything else to assist their families? It seems to me that they chose to go out on strike and to join you, knowing that their funds would run out quicker than they expected.
We know the Union isn't going to help anyone, unless it is an extreme emergency. The union funds seem to run out quickly. Blaming the company and venting frustration for each and every members unique situation isn't going to do anyone and good. Where is the solidarity?
From what I have been seeing and reading, Solidarity is a word used to make the strike have more strength than it really has. Those that are struggling are using the phrase " God, I hope the strike ends soon".
Union leadership only cares about the dues coming in.
Senior employees don't care about Junior employees.
Members probably already have better benefits and easier work life than non-members.
Now that health benefits are gone, how is Obama Care working out?
How is the Union going to help me if there is a lockout.
Solidarity or Individual Greed? Where is your solidarity to the man next to you?
