This is as low as I've ever felt, professionally. I cannot see this strike ending anytime soon or in a positive fashion. We need the concessions from the company in order to have jobs that are palatable, and the company obviously doesn't want us or the business we represent.
The union leaders don't have any reason to cave, as they are still getting paid and still have a black eye from 2011. The company doesn't have any reason to cave because they'd rather sell off wireline than provide good service to customers.
It's hard to even verbalize how I feel about doing a job the company doesn't think is important and looking at realistically not getting a paycheck another month at a minimum. In 2011 it felt like they had to bring us back because the company's welfare depended on it. Now it feels like that not only do they not have to bring us back, but they don't want to.
I know I'm not the only one developing an ulcer during this whole ordeal. It's hard to see the light on any aspect of this job right now. Everything just sucks.
