Hey Union dudes

I met a bunch of you out there. Some of you were friendly and respectful, and some of you were tough guys and dicks. I'm sure the same goes in reverse. No matter - my EWA assignment gave me a lot of respect for what field techs do.

It would be funny if you had to do our jobs for a day with us standing outside your office calling you lowlifes and telling you we would have already finished the spreadsheet by the time you found the auto-sum function. And you would call some help line and ask what a pivot is and be put on hold for an hour.

On both sides, we are really good at what we really do and not anyone can do it as well as us, which is why a company as big and rich as Verizon hired us. Here's to four years of normal.

5g won't work and you won't find another job.

Yeah, when you're adding 10,000 entries, you should really try to do it in your head LIKE A REAL MAN.

auto sum is the greek symblo part of the auto addition feature, it adds a series of numbers together for ummm say idiot people like the OP in this case that cant fuk in add... I am union and I run more spreadsheets then my boss cause he lacks a college degree... ya know you managers really shouldn't treat people so sh--ty... you might attract a more qualified management personnel...

The money was too good to pass up. I did my EWA with a smile on my face. Watching the union reps crow like a bunch of capons at the front of the garage was laughable and ineffective. I could care less if an agreement was reached or not, I'm single, young and have a skillset where if I were to get RIF'd I'd be doing interviews that week in a booming city. It must be a hit to the ego knowing management guys who've never picked up manual tools before did your job as effective as you did. Can't wait for 5G to roll out and copper is completely useless. Enjoy it while you can. Roll your pennies and turn in your beer cans for 5 cents. You're going to need it.

I love how people are such weak minded individuals that they refuse to stand up for themselves. I've refused to cross lines before and wasn't fired. I left a job because they tried to force me to cross a line. Guess what.... Had a job a few days later.

Stand up for yourselves and have an ounce of integrity.

I've done your job before... Liked the tools better. My choice doesn't make you any better then me other than I never sat in someone's chair while they were outside fighting for it.
