The news is reporting the union got stuck having to accept the last and final offer or face a lockout. But hey, they did agree to give you a 4 year last and final vs. 3 years so there's that.

The new contract is the LBFO with the only change being that it's a four year contract.
It amazes me that these people drew this out to lose 7 weeks of income for nothing. But then again unions have never been known for being brilliant.

Well, that remains to be seen depending on what's in the contract and whether it gets ratified or not.
I'm not upset about losing 6 weeks of pay, it was a much needed break. No doubt in my mind that we'll be coming back to plenty of work given how poorly company handled the load in our absence.
As long as I come back to a decent contract to sign off on and the workplace hostility that pushed us out on strike to begin with is gone all is well. If I don't...time for an early retirement.
