Not for nothing, but if a couple of months of being on strike pushes anyone into bankruptcy they must have been living above their means to begin with.
Now, if you're talking about 18 months like Lady Thatcher vs. the coal miners...yeah. In today's day and age very few working people would be able to keep their head above the water, if any.
My point being, the strike began two weeks from tomorrow. It's still in diapers so to speak. How would you have handled getting QAR'd and suspended for 30 days which is what has happened to so many while the people were still working?
Many locals have requested these illegal investigations gone for good and that fact documented in writing before the contract of any kind is signed. Just as FYI. That fact alone may very well turn this strike into a lengthy one, let alone everything else.
