This EWA outside is horrible. We cannot seem to fix anything. I am new to working outside but it seems so is everyone else. My partner had to call another team to come help us figure out that our fiber optic drop was 400 feet too short. The other team that came to help us said they just ate lunch and didn't feel like climbing a ladder so they called for another two man team in a bucket truck. They went to the ONT box and cut the fiber off with side cutters. Now OUR customer was totally out of service. At this point I am still not sure why we were even here at the customer's home....

The two guys that didn't want to climb any ladders must have had a big lunch because they were sweaty and out of breath but they went outside to put a sort of "junction box" on the utility pole outside by the neighbors house to patch the fiber optic drops together. tick tock.....3.5 hours later and they said there was still "no light" and they needed to take a break becasue they couldn't figure it out. The customer was furious, especially because she had no idea we were coming out to her home.

Seems the company will settle at this rate.

I miss my kids.

After you see these guys on a picket line, you understand why VZ gives these jobs to others, even to those in other countries. Can you think of any respectable job outside of Verizon that they could possibly thrive in? I can not!

Yes, give all your business to the competition, as they will be your new employer when you get locked out dopey.

Well, Lowell is greedy. Verigreedy. Instead of going to a Cwa picket line to talk to striking workers, he should have walked around the block and talked to some of the ex-customers and explained why we could not get them dial tone after 8 months because we did not have the money in the budget to repair the failing cables

This is America, land of the free. Now list up fools. Support Americans and keep jobs here in the good ole USA. I mean just because I drive a foreign car and use phones that are made by little kids in China it's ok. Because gee wiz mister, I wouldn't want to pay high prices for things that are union made...... O wait I mean well I meant to say is...... Is well Lowell is greedy ok. Just keep it at that. Thanks your union master.

Thats what happens when you take American jobs with good pay and benefits and ship them to 2nd world hell holes. He picked the wrong election year to play this game. We are returning to the era of America First.

Lowell has underestimated the Union and the consumer. Being out on the picket lines the public is overwhelmingly supportive of this strike for many reasons. Lots of people are asking how they can show support. They are willing to downgrade their services or cancel services altogether. Lowell is not just fighting 40,000 Union workers. He challenged most of America to a fight and is betting a multi billion dollar company on it just to get a bigger bonus
