It's "you're", not "your" (as in "you're missing Hannity"). I hope you're blue collar skills are better than your spelling skills.
I really don't understand what the union people want. They already get better retirement and medical benefits than the 2/3 of the company that aren't unionized. Union employees get retirement AND 40k(k) yet that's not good enough? Really?
And how dare the company ask union employees to chip in on the medical coverage LIKE THE REST OF THE COMPANY HAS TO. In fact, the entire industry as a whole asks employees to chip in for medical, yet the union employees apparently think they are better than everyone else and deserve special treatment.
The only thing a strike will do is cause the already razor-thin margins on wireline products to have even more pressure on them which will result in more job cuts. The strike will only speed up the inevitable, which is the wireline services becoming obsolete and the company ditching that business in favor of higher margin wireless service (that doesn't have an unreasonable union employee roster causing needlessly high bottom line costs).
The union people clearly aren't smart enough to realize that in the long run this strike only hurts themselves. And the general public doesn't feel sorry for the union employees because the unions already get better pay and benefits than 99% of the population yet it's never enough. All unions do is allow bad/lazy employees to get ahead and hold the really good employees back.
