Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Customer is with Verizon because our customer support is not in India

Was told today by one of my largest customers today that one of the main reasons they left AT&T was they were tired of not being able to understand the customer service reps based in India. I almost laughed out loud thinking to myself what I know is happening under our current leadership. I informed my contact that it was just a matter of time and we probably both should be moving overseas if we want to keep an IT or Telecom job...

We agreed it was a very sad situation and that we were both disappointed in Verizon.

I hate having to deal with the Indians, I need the job but I am sick of dealing with them. They are just so hard to understand. I wish this company would stop this madness, I am sick and tired of working like this.

A truly miserable frustrating experience having to go to Indians for support.

"jelly well I'm not wanting to be having it, en it? Slow dat is where that berry ball is clotching the dilithium crystals. Jelly" I have no idea what jelly is, well I know what jelly is. I have no ide why they keep calling me jelly? Maybe it means dope in Swahili?

I hang up and call the vendor account rep. He gets me someone I can understand.

And it will only cost the customer an extra $125 on their monthly bill for the useless, unsatisfactory Verizon customer support. That's almost enough to buy Low McDumb@$$ a cigar. He only smokes the expensive ones ... from the Monica Lewinsky line of fine smoking tobacco.

That was just the first call. They'll have to call 3 more times before we agree to dispatch a technician then cancel the report.

So the customer had a need to call in to customer service? Fascinating.

Sadly our own internal IT is in India, nothing worse than having to call in a Trouble Ticket, just painful.
