My Top AT&T Memory

I am long gone from AT&T, but I do want to highlight my most memorable management moment (and why AT&T is broken)

I worked virtually and had an absolute Hi---r for a boss. Micromanaged the he-l out of her team. Well, they eventually got a bad survey where her employees complained about the work environment.

The solution? Our next conference call, her and her admin. are dressed up in dance gear dancing for the team to music on a Zoom call. (To make our work environment more fun)

It was the most uncomfortable experience, for everyone. It was like watching a fish flop around outside its bowl.

Working as a senior support tech & big Rice tells us that we cannot use our personal cars for company bs, then next morning I get a call from a C.O. needing on premise support and no company car available. Big Rice then tells me to take my personal car and I can voucher off mileage. NOPE. Your correct - My insurance will not cover me using my personal car for company bs & I'm bound to abide by your rules. No exceptions - I quote his letter. Friggin' id--t Rice didn't pre-think the consequences.

Best memory. Walking into the office to see my L3 twisted almost upside down looking at his screen. What’s the problem says I. Response received. ‘Somebody’s sent me in a photo but it’s upside down’.

Similar experience someone took a book that contained hundreds of horrible boss traits and submitted it in our bosses survey. He then painfully read every word to the entire room of 2nd levels in a conference room for hours. It was very uncomfortable. I got the stink eye for laughing. He was a director that fortunately got fired.

One day, a manager tried to dictate our hours, when exactly we had to be at our desks. Literally the next day, she let's us know she has a pedicure, will be gone for about an hour, and I'm in charge.

I was a top preform on my team and always at work on time as scheduled ect... Her team as a whole wasn't doing very well. One on one meetings with her, "If it's going to be you or me then its going to be you (who gets fired). Just how she said it and looked at me. So glad I moved on from that group.
