Saw a bunch of leaders pat themselves on the back for releasing Chatgpt plugin.

Seriously!! Do these vanity projects achieve anything other than a bullet point for few people's resume?

Have the "leaders" taken a moment to think how many customers would know that they have to install a nike plugin in chatgpt to access that functionality. Even if they are technically saavy, why would anyone care to install it? Would they not just search for the product or go to nike.com and buy it?

Please tell me how much revenue you generated for nike from your vanity project?

I am sick and tired of working my a-s off and seeing nike stock go down while these mo--ns push out cr-p that nobody wants. And collect big paychecks while they are at it.

There is a big difference between embarassments like NOOP and business driven initiatives like publishing a Nike system prompt.

Very little is being allowed to be done to do anything interesting or innovative in tech. It's either follow the business led AOP items or a tech VP's personal pet project. So much capacity is going just to keeping things from falling apart as well, and when you aren't being allowed to do creative experiments, you aren't going to be in a hurry to automate operational work as that's all you have left.

ya'll really do not know how this company works?

this work like lots of work gt executes came through the business, specifically digital which is not part of gt

get nike business leaders to stop demanding stupid sh-t and then get some gt leaders and a product team that can press a different button than "yes" and you will see things improve. so few of our problems have to do with gt whether you want to hear it or not

Global Tech is a joke. This in no way moves the needle, yet the rest of our tech stack is sclerotic. We need to completely clean house of GT leadership.
