lot of chatter that design is getting chopped like a douglas fir. anyone got any intel? im hearing sups and og cp designers getting lopped off at the knees. any intel is appriciated!

Myself and my supervisor got laid off. I know for sure two more from the Utah office and two from QA. I had a feeling this was coming for awhile but hadn’t found a different job before this (out of solar). I will laugh to the bank with my 18 weeks of severance though. Codie wouldn’t answer hardly any questions in my “meeting”. They wouldn’t even let me personally clean out my desk. Was working from home today. Sad that I couldn’t even say goodbye to some people. Su-ks for someone who wouldn’t make a scene, get treated this way. Really thought I would have gotten some respect for my almost 9 years…..
Let go half the department. Also basically demoted all the sups to “leads” which is the same day to day as a staff. These roles will be removed in the short future I’m sure. Codie Wright likes to try and save face by not answering questions after the meeting lol. Oversea vendors now manage all tasks except redlines, which again, will change in the future I’m sure. If you’re still here GTFO now! They wanna pay vendors $4 an hour for sh-t work so they can still rent out stadiums and go to the Bahamas every year. These people are sc-m
Pulled into a surprise group meeting in the middle of assisting install crew on hotline outside of my shift and laid off. I was surprised that 2 guys that were doing better than me were also cut.
1/3 of my team was let go
@a3 yep its true im the origional poster and at least half my team just got fired on a group call. i think there was six of us
So far multiple designers and at least one supervisor.
