Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Energy Survey

It's rather curious how earnestly Enbridge conducts these employee surveys, all in the name of showing it cares about its staff, and yet the results never change, year after year.

We dutifully attend the meetings about what might be improved, and watch leadership do nothing whatsoever about it.

One begins to suspect the surveys were never meant to produce change at all. They can’t be that daft, can they?

So what, precisely, is the point?

I'd be nice if any VP+ leaders did anything with the feedback. Maybe next decade!

I've been in enough of these meetings now to see the pattern clearly: senior leaders reviewing engagement survey results with HR, genuinely concerned about the numbers, genuinely committed to "doing something about it." And yet the obvious answer is somehow always the one thing off the table.

Whatever you do, don't forget to report each and every survey request as phishing!

88% (probably) of employees call for higher compensation, Leadership responds with “we’ll provide training to explain your total compensation package”

I know what my package is a--holes, 2% raises with 5% inflation doesn’t work.

Well, you don't want the employees too happy because that means you're overpaying them/not working them hard enough.

If it's getting worse then you aren't paying enough/wlb is too bad.

It's a monitoring tool
