Have you ever heard of doing something even 4 year old children today know how to do such as Googling, "How can employees form a union?"
Also Google, "How did Starbucks employees form a union?"
"How did ABC Company form a union?"
How do you plan to unionize? Someone should start it. It seems Europe, and even China and India have stricter labor laws.
Here in the USA, they are treating skilled citizens as slaves and other immigrants as experts.
Im off from citi but In Poland we have Unions and thanks to that in 2024 layoffs cost Citi a LOT! We got month of pay for every year we work and right to apply for positions that are the same to the reduced ones and be re-hired ! So for 15 years of service I’ve received 12 month salary ( cap for severance package was 12 months) Get yourself together and Unionize !!!! You Americans got great traditions of strikes and fight for right pay, repeat it !
It's illegal in the USA to fire employees who so much as talk about starting a Union, let alone actually forming a Union.
Look at what happened to Starbucks. They learned the hard way and it cost Starbucks more money than it was worth to fire, harass or intimidate employees who Unionized.
If Sh!tibank did what Starbucks and other companies did (fire, harass, intimidate, demote, etc.) Employees for wanting to start a Union, there will be Lawyers galore just salivating at suing Citi, a deep-pocketed and well-known company.
Citi will let the Pit Bulls out ! 🐕.
Citi will practically be wearing a Meat 🍖 🥩 Dress (just like singer, Lady Gaga) standing in front of a pack of Pit Bulls, Wolves or Bears! 🐺🐻
How? Whoever starts it will be fired.
The best thing is to cancel the accounts and cards and don't do any business with them. Make sure you provide feedback when you cancel the accounts. Ask the to do the business in India or other countries wherever they are hiring people.
A bit too late - and impossible - still too many people in the financial industry believe in the Reagan/Thatcher mantra about everyone for himself. The tale of the slowly-boiling frog, etc. Still think they will eat the others and become Jane/Jamie/whatever CEO of a big bank...
